Improving the global patent system needs buy-in from the C-suite and political leaders

Attending the Trilateral Users’ meeting yesterday in The Hague I was reminded of that Elvis Presley classic A Little Less Conversation. It’s the one that begins: “A little less conversation, a little more action please/All this aggravation ain't satisfactioning me …". Then there’s that phrase from Yogi Berra, the one time manager of baseball team the New York Yankees: “This is déjà vu all over again.” But maybe Todd Dickinson, the current executive director of the AIPLA, got it best. Talking to delegates at the start of his presentation during the afternoon session, Dickinson said he had attended his first Trilateral as Director of the USPTO 10 years ago “and most of the slides that I used then I could probably still use today”.

3rd Dimension Launches New National Mobile Advertising Network

The Mobileyes Advertising Network consists of nine current U.S. Markets where 3rd Dimension's free consumer real-time traffic service is operating. It allows consumers to use their wireless devices to look ahead at traffic conditions and plan the best route before getting behind the wheel -- to save time, fuel and aggravation. Drivers can view real-time traffic video from any of the cameras along their route and can even program speed keys on their phone to quickly access their favorites. To date, over two hundred thousand drivers across the country have downloaded Mobileyes onto their mobile devices.
